Hollywood Burbank Airport is undergoing a major transformation as construction progresses on a new $1.3 billion terminal, slated for completion in 2026. The new terminal, located on the northeast section of the airport property, will replace the existing facility from the 1930s, addressing long-standing safety and space constraints.

Hollywood Burbank Airport Project Highlights:

Size & Features: The 355,000-square-foot terminal will include 14 gates, expanded shops and restaurants, a modern ticketing lobby with automated kiosks, a TSA checkpoint, and an upgraded baggage claim area.

Safety & Accessibility: Positioned farther from the runways to meet FAA standards, the terminal will also comply with current seismic codes and ADA accessibility requirements.

Design Elements: Renderings by Corgan, Holder, Pankow, TEC, CannonDesign, and Burns & McDonnell reveal a sleek structure with a swooping roof canopy, inspired by Mid-Century Modern architecture and Hollywood’s silver screen legacy.
